Low Sugar French 75 Cocktail
My husband developed this low sugar version of the classic cocktail that is perfect for Paleo and low carb diets… or anyone wanting reduce their sugar intake but still enjoy a mixed drink!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Gin
3/4 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
3/4 ounce Simple Syrup made with monk fruit
1 ounce Champagne or Prosecco
Garnish - Lemon Peel in long piece
Directions:
Simple Syrup: In saucepan over low heat, stir 1/4 cup of monk fruit with 1/4 cup of water until dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Cocktail: Peel lemon in long piece and place in fluted stemware. Put gin, lemon and simple syrup in shaker with ice and shake, pour in stemware and top with champagne.
