Hazelnut Espresso Overnight Oats

This week I am in Michigan with my family celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary!  It has been a week of beautiful beaches, delicious meals, family workouts and competitive volleyball games!  Since I've been leading my fabulous family in our morning workouts, I wanted to be sure I started the day with a healthy and EASY breakfast.  So, I decided to bring the makings for overnight oats to the lake.  You all know I love this recipe, not only for breakfast, but for an evening treat as well.  This version is for all you coffee lovers who just can't get enough of that glorious bean taste!  I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)

  • 1/2 cup vanilla premier protein

  • 1/2 cup of cold brewed coffee (I use leftover coffee from that morning)

  • 2 tsp. flax seed

  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut syrup {I use Torani no sugar but any brand will work}

  • garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few slices of banana if you choose

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a jar.  Put lid on the jar and keep in refrigerator overnight (12 hours).  That's it!  So easy!  Come morning you've got the perfect breakfast ready and waiting. Eat it cold or warm it up in the microwave.
