Resistance training is such an important part of any exercise routine because it is the one thing that allows you to build lean muscle. Why do we like lean muscle, you ask. Well, for me its two fold; one-muscle is metabolically active so your metabolism gets a boost and helps you burn fat (yippee!) and two-muscles help keep you strong for all your daily functional activities. It’s like we say, HEALTHY LIFE, HAPPY LIFE! Total body workouts are always a winner for me because I am hitting all my major muscle groups in one workout.
